Angler's Guide

Plumb Brook - Grasse River

Most fishing pressure occurs near access points. Anglers who make the effort to hike away from those spots tend to see better fishing. Bait, spinners, and flies all tempt the brown trout in the Grasse River and Plumb Brook.

Anglers will find public access to Grasse River browns at the DeGrasse State Forest, the canoe launch off County Route 27, the Lampson Falls trail off County Route 27, the Donnerville Road, County Route 17, and the bridge in Russell.

Access to Plumb Brook can be found at Whippoorwill Corner State Forest and Silver Hill State Forest, both of whitch are located off County Route 17 between Russell and DeGrasse.
