Don't blink those Halloween eyes at me.
Growing on an old stump at Stone Valley, Colton, NY. - Aug. 16, 2008. Figures I focused on the unusual growth instead of the typical 'cup' growth.
This mushroom gets it's common name from the 'lashes' that grow on the edge. They really do look like eyelashes.
EDIBLE?: my field guides state these are too small to bother with. But what I want to know is it poisonous? |
