Wildflowers
by common name

Schreber's Aster

Schreber's Aster flower

Eurybia schreberi
(Aster schreberi)

My field guides state these grow in woods and thickets. I found these in a wet meadow so you never know just where a particular wildflower will be found..

The fowers are similar to other white blooming Asters and one way to tell the difference is the large lower leaves with a deep notch where they attach to the leaf stem.
