Often found along shorelines. This one was growing alone the shoreline of the Raquette River in the Village of Potsdam just below the dam.

Indian Hemp Flowers

Indian Hemp is a member of the Dogbane family. The leaves are narrower than Spreading Dogbane and the flowers are less striking. Intermediate Dogbane is thought to be a cross between Indian Hemp and Spreading Dogbane.
