Lysimachia terrestris

Found in marshes, low wet areas and along grassy shorelines. These were found along the Grasse River in the Town of Canton, NY. July 2, 2008

Swamp Candles

A relative of Garden Loosestrifes. The flowers are more distinct and showy than the domestic varieties.

They spread by underground stems.
